How to read the result

Panels and output

The layout uses 430 Wp panels (1,722 × 1,134 mm) in portrait or landscape on the tilted roof, whichever fits more. With other panels the count changes slightly; we recalculate it with your model.

Structure budget

Sunrak price range for the structure alone, delivered 7 to 9 weeks after order, manufacturing and shipping included. Excludes panels, inverter, connection, foundations and installation. EV charger preparation: €300 to €700 excl. VAT extra.

Generation

Calculated with PVGIS 5.3, the European Commission’s tool, for your town, tilt and orientation, with 14% system losses. Shading from nearby trees or buildings is not taken into account.

Structure only or installed carport: compare like with like

Installer quotes usually include panels, inverter, installation and grid connection. The budget shown here covers the structure only: add your installer’s panels, inverter and labour before comparing.

Does the budget include panels and installation?

No. It is the price range for the metal structure alone, delivered ready to assemble: €2,400 to €6,000 excl. VAT for one car, €4,500 to €12,000 for two and €9,000 to €28,000 from three. Panels, inverter, connection, foundations and installation are priced by your installer.

Where does the generation estimate come from?

From PVGIS 5.3, the European Commission’s solar database (Joint Research Centre). It uses the output of your configuration, your chosen tilt and orientation and 14% system losses. It is an annual average; local shading and each year’s weather make it vary.

Is the configuration final?

No. Post sections, the number of supports and anchoring depend on wind, snow, ground and the panels chosen. The form sends us your configuration and we reply with an estimate. The paid structural study then sets the firm price and drawings.

How can I see the carport at home?

Can I configure more than four spaces?

The configurator goes up to four spaces and twelve metres wide. Beyond that it is a car park solar canopy: describe your project in the form and we will look at it on the same basis.
